MEMBERSHIPS

Dr. Susie Hodnett is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, Guilford County Veterinary Medical Association, the North Carolina Small Animal Academy and the Veterinary Information Network.

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION
Dr.  Hodnett attends continuing education seminars on a regular basis in order to keep abreast of the most recent advances in veterinary medicine. She attends seven hours of lecture  sponsored by the North Carolina Small Animal Academy once a month. Lecturers include professors of veterinary schools and other board certified specialists from across the country.

 

In 2008, she attended classes involving topics including Infectious Diseases, Ophthalmology, Pain Management,  Gastroenterology,  Dermatology, Endocrinology, Ear Diagnostics and Therapeutics,  Updates in Feline Medicine.

In 2009 lecture topics included Internal Medicine, Clinical Pathology,  Dermatology,  Neurology,  Ophthalmology, and Pharmacology.

2010 lectures have included Gastroenterology, Animal Behavior,  Respiratory Disease,  Dentistry, Dermatology, and Internal Medicine.




The state of North Carolina requires that veterinarians complete 20 hours of continuing education annually.  Dr. Hodnett averages between 42 and 56 hours per year.
